Frequently asked
questions.
The things clients ask us most — about pricing, materials, timelines and what happens if something is not right.
Delivery & Installation
A shopfront is typically 7–14 days, a fitted wardrobe 2–3 weeks, and a room of gypsum ceiling 2–3 days. Your quotation states a lead time, and we hold to it.
Always. Debris is removed and the space is swept before we hand over. Handover is not complete until you have walked the job with us and signed it off.
We snag it and fix it. Handover includes a walk-through specifically so anything that is not right gets listed and put right — not argued about later.
Only for the initial measure and the final handover. In between we keep you updated and will send photos if you are away from the site.
General
We are based in Nairobi and install countrywide — we have completed projects in Kisumu, Kisii, Busia, Kakamega, Eldoret, Nyamira and Mandera. Transport for out-of-town work is quoted as its own line so you can see exactly what it costs.
BestLink Fabricators was established in 2012. We have completed more than 480 projects across commercial and residential work in that time.
Yes. We measure, fabricate in our own workshop and install with our own team. There is no third party in the chain, which means there is nobody to point at when something needs putting right.
Regularly. Much of our commercial work happens in buildings that are still trading. We phase the work, run outside business hours where needed, and leave the site secure and clean every evening.
Materials
We specify to the job, not to the lowest price. That means proper gauge aluminium, genuine toughened or laminated glass where safety requires it, and galvanised or powder-coated steel for anything exposed to weather.
Yes. Powder coating comes in a full RAL range, and we can match aluminium, timber stain and upholstery fabric to samples you provide.
Not if it is specified and prepared correctly. We degrease, prime and finish every steel item. For coastal and high-rainfall areas we recommend galvanised or powder-coated work and will say so in the quote.
Standard board is not, and we would never specify it in a bathroom or kitchen. We use moisture-resistant board in wet areas and fire-rated board where the building code calls for it.
Pricing & Quotes
Yes. Site visits and quotations are free and carry no obligation. You will get an itemised quotation showing materials, fabrication, finishing, installation and transport as separate lines.
Most quotations go out within 48 hours of the site visit. Complex structural jobs that need engineering input can take up to five working days.
Not unless you change the scope. Our quotations are fixed against the drawing you approve. If you ask for something extra mid-job, we will price it and get your written approval before we build it.
Typically a deposit on order to cover materials, with the balance on completion and handover. Larger projects are staged against milestones. Terms are stated on every quotation.
Warranty
Yes. Our fabrication and installation workmanship is warranted for 12 months from handover. Manufacturer warranties on hardware such as motors, hinges and gas lifts are passed on to you in full.
Anything that fails because of how we made or fitted it — a failed weld, a door that drops out of alignment, a seal that lets water past. It does not cover accidental damage or normal wear on moving parts.
Yes. We service gates, automation and sliding systems, whether or not we originally installed them. Aftercare is part of the job, not a separate business.
