A sliding aluminium and glass shopfront replacing solid steel doors on a busy retail street.
The brief
Overview
The unit was hidden behind heavy steel shutters that gave nothing away to passing trade. We replaced them with a clear sliding glass shopfront that puts the interior on display while still locking down hard at night.
The challenge
Street-level retail on Jogoo Road needs real security, but the old steel doors were costing the business every walk-in customer who could not see inside.
What we did
Toughened glass sliding panels in a powder-coated aluminium frame, with a concealed locking rail and the original steel doors retained as an outer night shutter — visibility by day, security by night.
